We gots a great few days of motorsport ahead, but more importantly Independence Day here in the States. Look forward to the 6hrs of the Glen, Pirelli World Challenge, WRC, Top Gear, new eps of the regulars and F1 returns to Austria. Last go around, Nico got back to his winning ways, Vettel and Ferrari is still strong, but not quite on the level of the silver arrows, and Force India is turning into the surprise team of the season with Checo taking 3rd place for two races in a row. Hamilton's woes seem to be back, the tight street track of Baku catching him out on multiple occasions during the weekend. He started 10th due to issues during Q3 and finished 5th in the race primarily due to some settings glitch that had his Mercedes short on power for several laps. Ricciardo and Verstappen of Redbull may have pitted too early on the supersofts and fell victim to the one stop strategy of the majority of other front runners. Baku retired several cars and multiple people put their car in the concrete walls throughout the weekend, but was seen as positive by most of the paddock. With the smoke clear the Driver's Championship standings are as follows: Rosberg, Hamilton (-24), Vettel (-46), Raikkonen (-60), Ricciardo (-63), Verstappen (-87). Austria should be a race to see.

Enjoy your weekends.

Great motorsport weekend ahead to keep your DVR stockpiled. We have WRC action in Poland, World Challenge action from Road America, new ROTL regulars and solid replays. F1 action in Austria was solid, with Nico taking a strong win over Hams (who came in 2nd), Massa (3rd) getting his first podium of the season, Vettel and Bottas following, then Hulkenberg with his best finish of the season for Sahara Force India. Ricciardo finished in the points after a disappointing Q2 where he missed the Q3 cut and most significantly McLaren double DNFing again, with Alonso retiring in spectacular fashion after Kimi lost the rear end at a very high rate of speed, then collected him. This weekend we're in legendary Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. I'm sure Hams wants this one pretty bad. Enjoy your holiday folks.

Great weekend ahead folks, plenty of special events floating around so get your DVR's queued up. F1 action in Austria was solid, with Massa getting his first pole position in years, Bottas taking second spot, Red Bull looking rough in qualifying, Hamilton qualifying 10th and Williams showing serious pace to the rest of the paddock. Hams raced his ass off and finished second, Bottas got the first podium of his career, Massa just missed out in 4th and it appears Rosberg's adjustments to the Petronas chassis is the difference between him and Hamilton at this point; he takes another victory to answer Lewis's four straight wins earlier in the season and his drivers championship lead is bigger than ever. This weekend in Silverstone should be solid.

Merrica'. Be safe out there guys and girls -- don't fall for those pesky speed traps.
