Classic Vid: Prodrive E30M3 @ Manx Rally

Do you remember that Autocar review of the Prodrive E30M3 rally car we posted a ways back? Well here's some classic footage of that same car in action at the Manx (Isle of Man) Rally, piloted by Belgian driver Patrick Snyers.

Current Events: 2011 24 Hours of Nurburgring race finish

Unfortunately with all my running around this past weekend I wasn't able to see much of this years Nurburgring 24hr Race, streaming online as I ranted about last Thursday. Thankfully there are articles (here, here and here for example) out there going over the events during this great German endurance race along with more great footage ripped by some motorsport enthusiasts online. Long story short, the all mighty Porsche 911 claimed Ring' king once again. Here's the last few minutes of the race.

Car Pron: The F1 Photographer (By Stereoscreen)

Along with our love of Formula One racing, here at ROTL, we also have a great appreciation for photography. I personally think the greatest thing about photography is that one outstanding shot, while often subject to great praise, never makes a photographer a legend, but years of shooting and experiences hones skill and produces a portfolio like nothing else. Photography to me is the skill of telling colorful stories without words and getting better at doing so is what keeps me shooting on just about a daily basis. This short film is based on the 48-year F1 photography career of Rainer Schlegelmilch. I would love to spend an afternoon or two picking his brain over a fine brew or two. One more bit of evidence supporting the fact that you should respect your elders and predecessors.
