Car Pron: The Ferrari 250 GT SWB Deserves a Special Caretaker (Petrolicious)

This short film appeals to the neo-vintage mantra here at ROTL. I think what makes vintage automobiles like the Ferrari 250 GT (short wheelbase in this case) so great is the work that's required for maintenance, the super-organic feel behind the wheel, sounds and the smells. The term 'old school' is used for too many things these days, but when it comes to the method in which Ferrari mechanics of old learned their trade, from first hand tutoring from an existing master mechanic, this is what old school truly is. No manuals, just trust, human interaction, hands-on experience and feel for the original designers' intent. The importance of craftsmanship can never be too overstated.

Quick Vid: VW Golf Mk VII What's Its History and Is It Any Good (XCAR)

XCAR brings us a bit of VW Golf history before evaluating the new Mk7. We'll never get the blue-motion engine option here, but we'd love if they offered it in the US.

Hillclimb Pron: On Board : S. LOEB Pikes Peak FULL RECORD [HD] (OptionAuto)

If you don't know who Sebastian Loeb is, you don't follow motorsport. Seb has been racking up consecutive WRC championships behind the wheel of a Citroën for the past 9 years and has, in recent years, been branching out into other motorsport events that fit his 'particular set of skills'. Backed by Peugeot and partner Red Bull, he's won world Rallycross events (2012 X-Games Gold Medalist) and Hillclimb events like the famous Pikes Peak challenge, this year. Peugeot's new 208 T16 was piloted by the flying Frechman to a new Pikes Peak record of 8m13.878s. Put this one in HD and turn up the volume.
