Vintage Motorsport Pron: This Ferrari 512 M Changed the Racing World Forever (Petrolicious)

Petrolicious brings us a lovely bit of racing history with the following short film. This is the story of the Sunoco liveried 1970 Ferrari 512 M which debuted at the 1971 24 Hours of Daytona. Vintage Motorsport Pron: Ferrari 312PB Ends an Era With a Bang (Petrolicious)

The fine folks at Petrolicious brings us a very special piece on an old Ferrari race car, the 1972 312P(B). This race car, now owned by Steve Read, was Ferrari's swan song of sports car racing -- the last dedicated sports prototype race car that Ferrari ever made, albeit very successful, was followed by a cloud of reliability issues. Steve, however, decided to take on these challenges to own this very famous race car and compete with it in vintage races to this day.

Great weekend ahead folks, plenty of special events floating around so get your DVR's queued up. F1 action in Austria was solid, with Massa getting his first pole position in years, Bottas taking second spot, Red Bull looking rough in qualifying, Hamilton qualifying 10th and Williams showing serious pace to the rest of the paddock. Hams raced his ass off and finished second, Bottas got the first podium of his career, Massa just missed out in 4th and it appears Rosberg's adjustments to the Petronas chassis is the difference between him and Hamilton at this point; he takes another victory to answer Lewis's four straight wins earlier in the season and his drivers championship lead is bigger than ever. This weekend in Silverstone should be solid. 

Merrica'. Be safe out there guys and girls -- don't fall for those pesky speed traps.
