We have a solid weekend for motorheads everywhere. The last two episodes of Top Gear (with Jeremy Clarkson in them), IndyCar hits the streets of St. Petersburg Florida and F1 specials preceding this weekends' race in Malaysia.
Australia's Grand Prix wasn't surprising overall, with Mercedes F1 showing how much they're ahead of the field once again, with Hams taking this win with both hands. More interesting was the pace of the Ferrari this year, with Vettel hitting the podium in his first outing. Historically lowly Sauber, takes advantage of the work Ferrari has done with the power unit this off season, cashing in championship points for both cars. McLaren Honda is off to a rocky start, but Jenson Button finished the race right out of the points. The biggest story of last race was attrition; 9 cars failed to finish the race for one reason or another. Renault is publicly under fire for the powerplant they provided for the weekend, but oddly enough Red Bull Toro Rosso out performed Red Bull Racing, for most of the weekend, with the same engines. There will be a lot of updates across the paddock this weekend and I'm looking forward to it. Enjoy your weekends.
