We're a race away from the F1 season finale. This second to last event, that's before us, is in Brazil. Picking up where we left off, in F1's return to Mexico, we had some major headlines. Gutierrez and Grosjean will make up the Haas F1 driver lineup in '16. Also, both Ferrari's DNF'd; this had pretty big implications as Rosberg is on his game and took pole, during a wet qualifying, and took the checkered flag in Mexico. Nico is now in 2nd place in the Driver's Championship standings, gaining 25pts on Vettel. Also, before Vettel retired he was driving in a manner unfamiliar to those who have seen him race since the day's of Red Bull's junior team through now; he was chasing it, pushing way to hard and falling victim to some of the trickier corners on the circuit, specifically turn 7. He was caught out by this turn multiple times, with the last time being the finishing blow, sliding into the barrier all 4 locked up. Kimi on the other hand, who ruined Botas chance a finishing the race in Russia, destroyed his own rear suspension with a dangerous passing attempt over Botas, as if it was karma. Botas emerged from the tread on tread impact unscathed and finished in 3rd, which allowed him to put 15pts on Raikkonnen. Kvyat and Ricciardo finished 4th and 5th, respectively and Red Bull is showing their mighty competitive in these later races despite Mexico having the fastest straight on the calendar. Red Bull is still determining an engine supplier for '16; Merc, Ferrari and Honda are off the table per last reports. With the smoke cleared the driver standings are as follows: Hamilton (WDC), Rosberg (-73), Vettel (-94), Botas (-219), Raikkonen (-222), Massa (-228).

This weekend in Brazil should be another good one; Hams is looking to close out strong and crush Nico's spirit, Nico is trying to show he's worthy of challenging for the WDC next year and beat Vettel, Ferrari is trying to show strength as #2 in the Constructors Championship with Williams Martini trying to finish as close as possible (Massa is creeping on Kimi in the WDC). Force India looks to do their best attempt in chasing down Red Bull, but more realistically they want to finish strong to build upon their position for next season, separating further from Lotus. Vestappen and the young Toro Rosso boys are running well and look to pass Lotus in the Constructors. McLaren, the DNF kings of 2015, are looking to not finish behind Sauber (but it doesn't look good). We'll have to see what shakes out.
