What to watch this weekend (June 17th - June 19th)

  • Motorweek. 2012 Civic and 2012 Touareg. Friday @ 8pm - 9pm (Discovery's HD Theater) replays
  • Chasing Classic Cars. Friday @ 9pm - 11pm (Discovery's HD Theater) replays
  • Isle of Man TT 2010 - Episode8 of 2010's seasonal coverage. Saturday @ 12pm - 1pm (Discovery's High Def Theater)
  • What's My Car Worth? Season 2 marathon. Saturday @ 2am - 6am & 4pm - 7pm (Discovery's HD Theater) replays
  • Superbike World Championship. 7th round action from Motorland Aragon Circuit in Valencia, Spain. Sunday @ 3pm - 5pm (SPEED/SPEEDHD) same-day delayed broadcast
It's feast or famine these upcoming summer months for weekend motorsports. Yea, there is a IndyCar race this weekend in Milwaukee, but it's a circle track so I'm not helping you find it on the tele. Instead, the roadcourse listing this week comes in the form of International Superbike racing. Watch Isle of Man racing first, then watch what all the sane sportbike pilots race - smooth, man-made race tracks. Lastly, there's a marathon of 'What's My Car Worth' on HD Theater; this show is much in the same vain as the 'Paris Auctions' and 'Chasing Classic Cars'. It's a show that's part experts giving prices to people with classic cars, like 'Antiques Roadshow', but also part auction action from around the world for classic automobiles. Definitely worth watching.

Current Events: 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans race finish

This weekend has one of the most exciting weekends in motorsports, in recent years; for one, the Canadian Grand Prix had me jumping up and down and yelling at the television in one of the craziest F1 finishes of the year after pouring rain looked like it would end this race early. If that wasn't enough, the 24 Hours of Le Mans winner was determined by less than 15 seconds earlier Sunday morning. For those of you who have the last few hours DVR'd...spoiler Alert!

Special thanks/credit go out to MT89Motorsport2 for hosting online footage from this event all weekend, keep up the good work.
