What to watch this weekend (June 3nd - June 6th)

• Chasing Classic Cars. Friday @ 9pm - 11pm (Discovery's HD Theater) replays
• Isle of Man TT 2010 - Episode 6 of 2010's seasonal coverage. Saturday @ 12pm - 1pm (Discovery's High Def Theater) replay
• Rolex Sports Car Series. Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen Int'l Raceway, NY. Saturday @ 4:30pm - 8:30pm (SPEED/SPEEDHD) same day delayed telecast
• The Edge: Grand Am Road Racing. Looking at the first race of the season, the 24hrs of Daytona. Sunday @ 10am - 11am (Discovery's High Def Theater)
• Top Gear (UK). Season 12 Episode 10. Vietnam Special. Monday @ 9pm - 10:20pm (BBC America/BBC America HD) replay

Slim pickin's this weekend, but never fear, next weekend will double down where this weekend lacks. That said, there's still some great things to check out. More Isle of Man, and a six hour Grand AM endurance race at Watkins Glen Raceway. In the Top Gear replay arena is a gem; the Vietnam adventure special for Jezza, Captain Slow and The Hamster. Classic Top Gear antics in a foreign land.

With the need for better fuel efficiency and environmental concerns around the globe, cars like the Ford Fiesta, Audi A1 and Hyundai Elantra (yes Hyundai) are raising the level of what is available to the entry-level/small car buyer; this spans design, luxury appointments, performance and fuel efficiency. Mercedes has taken an opportunity to reinvent their small car, the A-Class (which is currently only available in Europe), so they can increase their market share. I don't know what else to say about this holiday weekends' lineup of automotive entertainment besides...THIS WEEKEND IS FUKIN STACKED. Grab a beer or five, salute our past and present veterans, grill some food up, have some friends over and if you can, find time to work on the car. Circuit de Monaco is my favorite race track on earth and I can't wait to see what shakes out of this second F1 race in two weeks. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go pickup some brats.
