For the love of Pininfarina. #2

After the creation of the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina, commissioned by James Glickenhaus in 2006, the need arose for a track version of the car; enter the Ferrari P4/5C. What's especially cool about this car, is that if everything goes as planned it'll be racing in the 2011 24 Hours of Nurburgring (June 23-26). But unlike the P 4/5 that's built on a Ferrari Enzo chassis, the P4/5 Competizione is built on a Ferrari F430 Scudaria chassis like the Lancia Stratos concept (also produced by Pininfarina).

This weekend we have a motorsport quadruple play; Formula 1, WRC, ALMS and an IndyCar Series street race all rolled in one. Redbull Racings F1 team was as impressive as ever in Malaysia last week. The WRC 2011 Season has started off as anyone's to take, rather than the typical dominance expected by Citroen's Sebastien Loeb. And last but not least, Simona De Silvestro has been living up to the hype in IndyCar thus far. Enjoy the race weekend...and the first round of the NBA Playoffs (oops).

While scouring the web I found this F1 coverage series that may turn out to be a great addition to our lineup of posts for our F1 enthusiast contingent. I'm happy that someone is doing a webisode style show covering the F1 season round by round. Please note that this video was made (to be viewed) prior to this past weekends Malaysian GP, so no 'spoiler alert' needed this time around; but seriously, you should have watched it by now.

Car Pron: MIVW 2009 (by Loniek/Wolfsgruppe)

I've been collecting parts on a weekly basis to refresh the daily and I'm finally getting off the couch and into the garage. I have a handful of small projects I want to get done before the oppressive summer heat rolls in, which got me on a show video kick. Having your ride look it's best is always the goal, so why not see some cars that live up to this bill.
